So many writers are struggling right now, more than they were before the world was engulfed with the news and disruption of COVID-19. But now, with many people in lock down, there is a lot of pressure to produce, to get those things done that you’ve always wanted to do, to use your time wisely, etc.

Sounds like a lot of pressure, doesn’t it?

I heard the pressure. I felt the pressure. I understand that damn pressure.

I wanted to know how I could be of service to writers and creators right now. I know many of you are worried about many factors, and it can leave a lot of you stuck and unable to move, never mind to be able to tap into that creative side of you.

The thing is, for many of us, being creative is how we process our emotions, and our creations can help other people also process the world around them. That is what art is.

Marianne Williamson keeps saying through this to take time and consume literature. Real literature. I love watching her when she says this, because you see something true and soulful come out when she talks about what she means. Poetry, deep reading, the kind that requires you to chew on it for a while until you get to the real morsel of it.

We need people to be creating now more than ever. We need those nuggets of truth. We need art as a collective to help us heal these wounds.

But what happens when we are so stressed out, anxious, depressed, scared or overwhelmed to even begin to look at our art?

That’s where a coach can be helpful.

My Offering to You

A writing coach can help you get past whatever is fogging the brain and work on what you want to focus on. A writing coach can help you get to the finish line of your work in progress. A writing coach will be your cheer leader for all your small successes and your big ones.

So while this pandemic is going on, at least April through May, I am offering Pay What You Feel coaching sessions.* I want to make sure that you have access to the support you need so you can process what’s going on. I want to make sure that you can feel accomplished while we’re in lock down. I want to make sure that you can have something that brings you joy during a time when things seem kind of scary.

*There is a £10 minimum to this offer. This is for two reasons:

  1. It is the incentive to help you to take your hour with me seriously.
  2. This is my energy exchange. I love talking with writers so much, but I also recognize that the majority of my clients are in the US while I’m in the UK. I am willing to get up in the middle of the night for sessions, but it can be draining. One way of helping the drain is this exchange.

How Does It Work?

Signing Up

Contact me either by Direct Messaging me via Instagram, or by using the Contact Me form at the bottom of this post or on my Contact Me page.

When you use the Contact Me page, please give me a little bit about

  • what you’re working on
  • what you’re struggling with
  • or what you’d like to achieve in the session
  • your time zone/location
  • your available times and dates

This is a first come first serve basis.

We will set up a time and date, and I will take your PayPal information (your associated PayPal email).

I’ll contact you via Skype and we will have a one-hour session. Once we have had the session, I’ll send an invoice for £10 with an option to leave a tip. You will then have the ability to tip whatever you feel the session was worth, or not at all.

Questions & Answers

Here are some of the general questions you might have, answered. If you have more, please feel free to contact me or ask a question in the comments section.

  1. What can I expect from a single session?
  2. Can I have more than one session?
  3. Can I book several sessions at once?
  4. Your prices are in pounds. Do I have to be in the UK?
  5. How long is this deal running for?
  6. Do you use Zoom?
  7. Do we have to video chat?
  8. What payment methods do you accept?

What Can I Expect from Single Sessions?

A single session means you email me things you would like to address during the session and we work on that, or other surrounding issues. If you choose to book another session with me, our email correspondence will be kept only to scheduling purposes.

If you would like to have more email correspondence between sessions regarding questions you have or concerns you have about writing or anything we talked about, you can look into my packages and bundles here.

Can I Have More Than One Session?

Absolutely! You can have as many sessions as you would like while this deal is on the go, however, every strictly, no more than one session per week. This is so you have time to gain progress and so I can help as many people as possible.

Can I Book Several Sessions at Once?

Yes and no.

Of course you are more than welcome to sign up for any of my Coaching Packages, though they will not fall under the PWFRFY deal. If you want to Pay What Feels Right For You, then after the invoice has been paid, you can contact me and book your next session.

This is so I can ensure as many people as possible can take advantage of this offer. As a result, you may not get the same time slot each week.

Your Prices Are in Pounds. Do I Have to Be in the UK?

Not at all. While I live in the UK, I’m from the US, and work with a lot of folks from the US as a result.

The only requirement I have is that you can speak English fluently (my French is far too rusty to offer that as a service, and my Welsh, Greek, and German are pretty minimal).

All invoices will be sent via PayPal and in British Pound Sterling. I do this because currently the currencies are fluctuating too much to get a general gist of what the conversion rate is.

How Long Is This Deal Running?

At least April and May.

Depending on how well this goes, I might reassess in May and extend this deal for longer. This is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and thus the offer to Pay What Feels Right For You will depend on lock ins, economic environments and so on.

My goal here is to provide a service to writers and creatives who might need it most during this time when jobs might feel wavering, attentions might be strained, and anxiety might be high.

Do You Use Zoom?

Currently I only use Skype. While I am looking into Zoom, I am also watching the security concerns revolving around Zoom and other video chatting software.

Do We Have to Video Chat?

Nope. Most of my Skype calls are just audio.

If we schedule a session during the very early morning hours my time, or late at night, I will request and audio only call.

What Payment Methods Do You Accept?

Currently only PayPal. I find it simple to use, and most importantly, I find it is safe for both parties to use.

Addressing the Pressure

Right now is difficult for so many people, to say the least. Many are going up and down the emotional roller coaster, and all the while folks are trying to come to grips with what’s going on, they’re being pressured to utilize this time they have off, be productive and create.

I am not here to add to that pressure. I am here to offer a hand if you feel like you want to answer the call to create. If you don’t want to answer that call, that is perfectly alright too. You look after you, do what you need to come to terms with the shifting atmosphere. You can use the Contact Me form below as well if you just want to have someone listen to you.

We’re all in this together. You are not alone.

Anything Else?

If you have any other questions, you’re more than welcome to use the Contact Me form below or leave a comment. I’ll answer whatever I can.

I look forward to working with you!

Contact Form

Remember, as you fill this form out, please provide a little bit of information about you as well as possible dates and times for our session.
Also please know that I will never pass along your details to anyone. Period.
